Terms and Conditions - Landscapers Lambeth
Welcome to our Terms and Conditions page for Landscapers Lambeth. This document explains the rules, responsibilities, and expectations that apply when you use our landscaping services. We believe in transparency, clear communication, and fair service standards, so these terms are designed to help customers understand how projects are managed from beginning to end.
By requesting, booking, or receiving services from Landscapers Lambeth, you agree to the terms described here. Please read this information carefully before authorizing any work. These terms apply to all standard and bespoke landscaping services, including garden design, planting, turfing, paving, fencing, lawn care, maintenance, and related outdoor improvement services.
1. Scope of Services
Landscapers Lambeth provides a variety of landscaping services for residential and commercial outdoor spaces. The exact scope of work will depend on the agreed project details, site conditions, and service requirements. All work is carried out according to the specifications discussed before the project begins.
Service requests may include, but are not limited to:
- Garden landscaping and redesign
- Lawn preparation, turf installation, and maintenance
- Fence installation and repair
- Patio, path, and hardscape features
- Planting schemes and seasonal planting
- Soil improvement and ground preparation
- General outdoor clearance and tidy-up work
All services are subject to site suitability, material availability, and mutually confirmed project details.
2. Quotations and Pricing
Quotes are prepared based on the information available at the time of assessment. Pricing may reflect labor, materials, equipment, access conditions, waste removal, and the complexity of the job. If site conditions differ from the original description, the final price may need to be adjusted.
Unless otherwise agreed, quotations are valid for a limited period and may change if materials, labor costs, or project requirements change. A quote does not become binding until it has been accepted and work has been scheduled.
Important: Any additional work requested after the original agreement may be charged separately. We will always aim to inform customers before undertaking extra tasks that affect the final cost.
Price Adjustments
There may be circumstances where pricing must be revised. These include unforeseen ground conditions, hidden structural issues, inaccessible work areas, or changes to the agreed scope. In such cases, the customer will be notified as soon as practical.
Examples of cost adjustments may include:
- Unexpected underground obstructions
- Additional excavation or preparation work
- Replacement materials due to customer preference changes
- Extended labor time caused by weather or site limitations
3. Booking and Scheduling
All work is scheduled subject to availability. While every effort is made to meet preferred dates, project timelines cannot always be guaranteed because landscaping work may depend on weather, seasonal conditions, and the availability of materials or equipment.
Once a booking has been confirmed, customers are expected to ensure that access to the property is available on the agreed date and time. If a delay or access issue arises, the schedule may need to be rescheduled.
We reserve the right to rearrange work dates when required for safety, weather suitability, or operational reasons.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To help ensure a smooth project, customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the site and any known restrictions. This includes details about access, utility lines, pets, neighboring boundaries, and any previous work that may affect the landscaping process.
Customers should also ensure the following:
- The work area is reasonably accessible
- Personal items are removed from the project zone
- Any required permissions are in place before work starts
- Parking or delivery arrangements do not interfere with service delivery
If a project is delayed because site preparation has not been completed by the customer, additional charges or rescheduling may apply.
5. Materials and Product Selection
Where materials are supplied as part of the service, selections will normally be based on the agreed specification. Natural products such as stone, timber, soil, turf, and plants may vary in color, texture, size, or appearance. These differences are a normal part of landscaping and should not be treated as defects unless they fall outside the agreed standard.
Customers may choose certain materials, but final suitability will depend on professional assessment. If a requested product is not suitable for the intended use or site conditions, an alternative may be recommended.
We aim to source quality materials that are appropriate for the project and consistent with the expected finish.
Plant and Natural Material Variation
Plants, turf, and other organic materials are living products and may respond differently to weather, soil, and maintenance conditions. Slight variations in growth, density, and appearance are normal. Customers should understand that successful establishment may depend on aftercare and environmental factors.
6. Access to the Property
Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the property and work area. If access is restricted, work may take longer or require equipment changes. Any obstruction that prevents normal access can result in a revised schedule or additional cost.
Access considerations may include:
- Gates, locks, and entry points
- Clear pathways for tools and materials
- Space for waste disposal or material delivery
- Permission for use of shared or communal areas where relevant
We are not responsible for delays caused by blocked access, incorrect entry instructions, or restrictions not disclosed before the project begins.
7. Health and Safety
Health and safety are essential in every landscaping project. Work will be performed in a manner intended to reduce risks to workers, occupants, visitors, and property. Customers should inform the service provider of any hazards, such as unstable surfaces, hidden utilities, contaminated soil, or unsafe structures.
Where necessary, work may be paused if conditions are unsafe. This includes severe weather, unsafe equipment placement, or unexpected hazards uncovered during the job. Safety decisions made on site are intended to protect people and property.
All customers must keep children, pets, and unauthorized persons away from active work zones.
8. Waste Removal and Site Clean-Up
Waste removal and debris disposal may be included in the service or charged separately depending on the agreement. The level of clean-up provided will match the terms of the specific project. If waste must be removed from a restricted area, additional handling may be required.
Where included, reasonable efforts are made to leave the site tidy and safe. However, landscaping often involves soil movement, cutting, trimming, and excavation, so some residual disturbance is to be expected until the project is completed.
- Green waste may be removed or recycled where appropriate
- Large debris may require separate disposal arrangements
- Packaging and material offcuts may be cleared as part of final site cleanup
9. Project Changes and Variations
Customers may request changes during the course of a project. While small adjustments may be possible, larger changes can affect labor, materials, timing, and final costs. Any variation should ideally be confirmed before the revised work is carried out.
Changes requested after work has begun may require a revised quotation.
Examples of project changes include altering paving patterns, replacing selected plants, increasing the size of a lawn area, changing fence materials, or adding extra features not originally included.
10. Delays and Weather Conditions
Landscaping is highly dependent on weather. Rain, frost, extreme heat, or strong winds may affect scheduling, material performance, and the quality of work. Certain tasks, such as turf installation, planting, or paving, may need to be postponed until conditions are suitable.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed if weather or other external factors affect timing. However, delays caused by conditions outside our control are not considered a breach of service.
Seasonal conditions may also influence the suitability of some landscaping tasks and products.
11. Payments and Invoicing
Payment terms are normally confirmed before work begins. Depending on the size or nature of the project, a deposit may be required to secure materials and schedule the work. The remaining balance, if any, is generally due upon completion or according to the agreed payment schedule.
Invoices should be paid by the due date stated on the document. Late payment may result in additional administrative charges or a pause in ongoing work where applicable. Customers are responsible for ensuring payments are made on time.
Failure to settle outstanding balances may affect future bookings or follow-up service arrangements.
Accepted Payment Terms
Any accepted method of payment will be confirmed in advance. The chosen arrangement must be followed unless otherwise agreed in writing. If a payment plan is included, each installment must be paid on time to avoid disruption to the project.
12. Complaints and Quality Concerns
If a customer is unhappy with any part of the service, concerns should be raised promptly so they can be reviewed fairly. We aim to address reasonable issues in a professional and constructive manner. In many cases, a solution can be found by inspecting the work and discussing the concern.
Complaints should be based on the agreed scope and the condition of the site at completion. Issues caused by later misuse, poor maintenance, weather damage, or unauthorized changes are not usually covered under service responsibility.
Any concerns reported long after completion may be harder to assess accurately, so timely communication is strongly encouraged.
13. Warranty and Service Limitations
Some landscaping work may include a limited warranty, depending on the nature of the task and the materials used. However, warranty coverage is usually restricted to workmanship and does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, or external damage.
Natural materials, plants, turf, and outdoor finishes are exposed to changing environmental conditions. Their performance can be affected by soil quality, drainage, sun exposure, frost, pests, and ongoing care. Because of this, no landscaping service can guarantee permanent results under all circumstances.
Customers are responsible for routine maintenance unless a maintenance agreement states otherwise.
14. Liability
Reasonable care will be taken while carrying out all work. However, liability is limited to the direct scope of the service and does not extend to issues caused by pre-existing site conditions, hidden defects, poor drainage, underground services, or customer negligence.
We are not liable for indirect losses, business interruption, or consequential damages arising from landscaping work, except where required by law. Customers should make sure any sensitive items, fixtures, or vulnerable surfaces are protected or disclosed before the work starts.
It is the customer’s responsibility to notify us of known risks, fragile areas, or special site conditions before the project begins.
15. Ownership of Materials
Materials remain the property of the supplier or service provider until payment has been received in full, where such arrangements apply. Once installed and paid for, ownership transfers according to the terms of the completed project.
If a project is canceled after materials have been ordered specifically for the job, the customer may still be responsible for those costs if the items cannot be returned or reused.
16. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Customers who need to cancel or reschedule should give as much notice as possible. Short-notice cancellations may result in charges if labor, materials, or reserved time cannot be recovered.
Rescheduling is usually possible where reasonable notice has been provided and availability allows. In the case of repeated changes or late cancellations, a deposit may be forfeited or a new booking arrangement may be required.
We aim to be flexible, but project scheduling depends on planning, staffing, and material commitments.
17. Termination of Service
We may stop or refuse work if a customer fails to meet agreed obligations, creates unsafe conditions, or behaves in a way that prevents the service from being delivered properly. In such cases, any completed work and incurred costs may still be chargeable.
Likewise, customers may end a project before completion, but they may remain responsible for all work completed up to the termination point, along with any non-returnable material expenses.
18. Intellectual Property and Designs
Any design ideas, sketches, or project concepts prepared for a customer may remain the intellectual property of the creator unless otherwise agreed. These materials should not be copied, reused, or shared for commercial purposes without permission.
If a landscaping design is created for a specific site, it is intended for use on that site only. Reproduction on another property may require separate approval.
19. Privacy and Data Handling
Any personal information shared in relation to a booking or service is handled according to applicable data protection practices. Information is used only for service delivery, record keeping, and communication related to the project.
We take privacy seriously and aim to keep customer information secure and limited to operational needs.
20. Governing Terms and Final Notes
These Terms and Conditions are intended to create a clear and fair framework for all landscaping services provided by Landscapers Lambeth. They help ensure that customers understand the responsibilities involved in planning, scheduling, payment, and project completion.
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will still apply. The failure to enforce one part of the terms does not mean that the rest of the terms are waived.
By proceeding with a landscaping project, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms.
We value clear communication, professional standards, and reliable service. These terms are designed to support a positive working relationship and to ensure that every project is handled with care, consistency, and respect for the agreed scope of work.
